Real Wedding - Deb James & Michael Matarazzo

On South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, Deb & Michael married on 29th January 2011 at the picturesque Waverley Estate in the beachside town of Port Elliot. In front of 125 guests they exchanged their vows on a warm, sunny afternoon. There's no denying that the fabulous photography by the very talented Pete Thornton from Event Imaging has perfectly captured the relaxed, happy and love-filled day. The gorgeous bride, in a magical cotton and silk blend Akira gown, was the definition of a glowing, thanks in-part to the makeup artist from Ocea Beauty Bar. There's no denying the love between Deb & Michael shines through in these photographs. We loved the colourful and casual flowers, the brides dress and the polaroid photo's taken by guests for the Bride & Groom as keepsakes. Congratulations Deb & Michael!

Real Wedding - Karen & Paul

One or our favourite weddings from our autumn issue was Karen and Pauls at Gunners' Barracks. It was a fun and relaxed wedding that really celebrated their love. Karen incorporated a lot of thoughtful touches that helped make their day unique to them.

We didn't have space in the magazine to show the stationery that Karen designed for her wedding. Below is the screen printed invite as well as the balloon hens party invitation - such great ideas!

Karen and Paul's wedding was shot by Bradley Patrick from SugarLove Weddings. Bradley has also just launched his new commercial site: www.bradleypatrick.com which showcases a lot of the celebrity work he has done.

Fly Me to the Moon

Cathrin D'Entremont of Cathrin D'Entremont Weddings has very kindly shared with us a styling shoot she did recently with a number of fabulous Western Austrlian suppliers. Fly Me to the Moon was inspired by the old charm of country stables. The palette that were used included cornflower blue with accents of antique gold and soft pinks and purples with natural accents in cream and dark wood. Cathrin and her team too shot on location in the stables at the gorgeous Stewarts Brookleigh in Uppper Swan WA. We're loving the hydrangea detail on the backs of the gorgeous antique wood chairs! See below for a complete supplier list.

Real Wedding - Zoe Chen & John Lee

One of our favourite weddings we've featured in our winter issue (on sale now!) is that of the gorgeous Zoe Chen & John Lee. Shot by Jose Villa, the wedding is vibrant, relaxed and full of fun and unique styling ideas. We loved the couples seating chart printed on a gorgeous array of coloured and patterned papers. We also adored their paper rosettes, designed so guests knew who was friends with the bride and who was friends with the groom. John even illustrated the cute image of Zoe & himself and Zoe loved them so much they were incorporated in to many aspects of their day. We think this wedding proves that a relaxed and fun wedding can still be big on ideas and neat aspects. Choosing a few key colours will then help to tie even the simplest of ideas together making the day one your guests will remember for years to come. Cover Glory

It's safe to say that we are in LOVE with our new winter cover. The simply divine bouquet was created especially for our cover by the extremely talented Rebecca Grace of Natural Art Flowers in Perth, Western Austalia. Rebecca Graces' done such a wonderful job of conveying the mood of the winter season with a delicious assortment of rich colours and textures. The bouquet, shot for us by the uber lovely Jemma Keech of Jemma Keech Photography, has made us realise that winter needn't be so gloomy. A huge thank you to both Rebecca Grace and Jemma for their amazing contribution to our winter issue. Bright as a Button

It might be cold and miserable outside but a bouquet as vibrant and wonderful as this is bound to brighten up even the dreariest of days. I'm in love!

A Moment in Time

I came across the wedding of Caroline & Clark on the blog Snippet & Ink and fell in love with their photos. Their photographer, A Bryan Photo, did an amazing job capturing the true emotions of the day. One photo in particular that stood out showed the groom the moment he caught sight of his bride at the end of the isle. Magic. LOVE!

Engagement Shoot

Engagement shoots are becoming more and more popular in Australia. They are a great way to celebrate your engagement as well as having a bit of a practice run before the big day! Courtney Raper sent me some images from a recent engagement session she photographed. It looks like a really fun and relaxed day.
