Going to the Chapel
With weddings taking place all over the world it's not always possible to have everyone there to share in your big day. Brisbane wedding venue Broadway Chapel has come to the party, launching live web streaming of weddings to cater for overseas family and friends unable to make the journey to Australia. The web streaming was introduced in response to an emotional bride whose New Zealand-based grandmother was too ill to fly to Brisbane for their wedding. The majority of couples who wed at Broadway Chapel have close family members who live outside of Brisbane. Live video streaming works by having the video on a protected network. Family members then receive a special log-in so they can see the exchanging of vows for themselves. The service costs AUD$88.
